Tasha Smith, MSW, LCSWA

Clinical Therapist

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate with over 20 years of experience in the social work field. I believe that people possess the ability to rise above their circumstances and create their own narratives. I have experience in the areas of child welfare, clinical, medical, and school social work. I help others learn to navigate the complexities of their circumstances and to advocate for themselves in a way that leads to health and wellness.

My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for my clients to unpack the difficulties and obstacles they face so that they can move toward a better and healthier way of being. I understand that everyone’s experience is different and that it is important to meet my clients at the point of their need. My career has allowed me to work with men, women, and children in some of the most difficult places in their lives, to help them to understand and break down the obstacles they face.

I believe in building relationships and approach each one with the understanding that I serve in the delicate and deeply personal spaces of a person’s life. My approach is to help clients tap into their courage and inner strength by helping them understand that no matter the difficulties faced, they can lead healthy and productive lives. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), Person-Centered and Trauma-Informed Therapies.

All we can ask of ourselves is to do our best. It is crucial to understand that our best may look different from one day to the next.

I am accepting clients with BCBS, MedCost, Tricare/Humana, and self-pay.
