Jordan Blue
Marriage and Family Intern
I am an intern and pursuing a Marriage and Family Therapist degree from Liberty University. I offer low cost sessions for children, adult, families and couples.
My passion for working with children and families started long before I entered the counseling field. Growing up, sports played a major role in my life, and as I got older, I found myself drawn to supporting younger athletes. My father ran a Pop Warner football organization, which gave me the opportunity to spend years around children, helping, encouraging, and watching them grow. In college, I volunteered as an assistant coach with a youth track team, and later, after moving to Raleigh, I coached the youth in a gym, where my main focus was brain and character development. I enjoyed helping them accomplish goals they never thought were possible. Those experiences taught me that growth often begins when someone believes in you before you believe in yourself.
Today, I bring that same mindset into the counseling room. I aim to create a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also feeling encouraged to grow. My approach is relational, based off strengths, and rooted in building genuine connections. I believe trust is the foundation for meaningful change, and I work to help clients recognize their strengths while developing practical tools to navigate life’s challenges.
While I have a heart for working with children and adolescents, I also have a heart for couples and families. I am fascinated by the ways relationships shape our lives and believe that healthy communication, emotional connection, and mutual understanding can create lasting change. Whether I am working with a child building confidence, a teenager discovering their identity, or a couple strengthening their relationship, my goal is to help people move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
As a Christian, my faith is an important part of who I am and influences my values of compassion, grace, and the hope that I bring into my work. I respect and welcome clients from all backgrounds and beliefs, and I strive to meet each person where they are in their journey.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my wife, dog , and serving in my church community.
