Raven Williams, LCMHCA

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Life can be unpredictable, and many people find themselves struggling with emotions, past

experiences, or situations they never expected to face. In these moments, having a supportive

space to process and heal can be essential. My goal is to create that space—one where clients

feel safe, respected, and empowered to move toward healing and personal growth.

I specialize in working with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma,

life transitions, and identity exploration. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and

nonjudgmental. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational

Interviewing to help clients build insight, develop coping strategies, and make meaningful

changes in their lives. I’m also continuing my education in Trauma-Informed Care and

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to expand the support I offer.

I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2025) and a master’s in human

services counseling with a specialization in Crisis Response and Trauma (2022), both from

Liberty University. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hampton University

(2019). My academic journey has been driven by a lifelong passion for supporting others with

empathy, encouragement, and evidence-based care.

Outside of my professional life, I am a wife and mother of two, and my life is deeply rooted in

faith and family. From an early age, I’ve been drawn to helping others feel seen, valued, and

supported. That calling continues to shape the way I show up for each client.

Healing can be a challenging process—but it can also be incredibly transformative. It’s a

privilege to walk alongside clients as they take steps toward greater clarity, strength, and

wholeness.

As Maya Angelou so beautifully said, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit

the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” I believe in honoring the journey—and

I’d be honored to be part of yours.
