Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern
As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I bring a unique blend of professional
experiences and personal insights to this field. With a background in law enforcement and the
Army, I've spent significant time supporting colleagues through trauma and crisis, facing
firsthand the toll it can take on mental well-being. My experience through this challenging
terrain has ignited a passion within me to transition into mental health counseling—a field where
I can continue to provide invaluable support to individuals navigating life's complexities.
I believe it is important to cultivate a safe, trusting, and hopeful environment—a space where
clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and embark on a journey of healing and
growth. I firmly believe in the transformative power of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
which serves as a cornerstone of my training. By helping clients identify and reframe unhelpful
thought patterns, CBT equips them with practical tools to manage challenges, improve
relationships, and foster resilience.
In my work, I engage with individuals and facilitate groups, drawing upon my background to
tailor interventions that address their unique needs. Whether supporting adults navigating life
transitions, or anyone struggling with anxiety and depression, I am committed to walking
alongside them with empathy, compassion, and unwavering support.
Recognizing the importance of accessibility in mental health care, I am able to offer services at
reduced rates, ensuring that financial constraints do not serve as barriers to receiving support. I
believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, regardless of their financial
circumstances.
My mission is to create a space where individuals can embark on a journey of self-discovery,
healing, and transformation. Guided by empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice
principles, I am dedicated to empowering my clients to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
“Cognitive therapy is based on the idea that when you change the way you think, you can change the way you feel and behave."
